The purpose of this test is to evaluate whether or not you have the skills necessary to work in the manufacturing industry in Japan with a Specified Skilled Worker (i) residence status.

Eligibility [Qualifications]
In principle, applicants must be foreign nationals who are 17 years of age or older on the day of the test and who intend to work in Japan if they pass the test. Those with Japanese nationality are not eligible to take the test.

Eligibility

Even if you pass the test, it does not guarantee that you will be granted the "Specified Skilled Worker" status of residence. ID creation

  • It is prohibited for one person to obtain multiple Prometric IDs.
  • Please create a Prometric ID with the same name as the name on Identification Document. Your name cannot be changed after you have made a reservation. If the name on Identification Document does not match the name on your Prometric ID, you will not be able to take the test on the day of the test.

Scheduling

  • Reservations and changes can be made from 60 days before the test date until 23:59 (Japan time) three business days before the test date at the earliest. If the test date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or Japanese holiday, you can apply until 23:59 (Japan time) four business days before the test date.
  • Business days are days excluding Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese holidays, and New Year's holidays.
  • The dates vary depending on Test Center. Please note that Test Center may not hold exams depending on the date and time.
  • Seating is limited. Please complete Scheduling as soon as possible.
  • The name, date of birth, nationality, and gender registered at the time of reservation cannot be changed. Please make sure to register without any mistakes.
  • If you are taking the test in Japan, you will need to upload a photo of yourself when making Scheduling. The uploaded photo will be included in Confirmation Letter and will be used to verify your identity On the test day. The uploaded face photo will also be included in the result notification. Please check the face photo regulations in advance and prepare a face photo that meets the regulations.

Scheduling change

  • Cancellation is not possible. Even if there is an error in the reservation details, corrections or cancellations cannot be made after the reservation is completed.
  • No changes can be made after the reservation deadline has passed.
  • Scheduling cannot be changed unless there are vacant seats.
  • Regardless of Presence or Absence On the test day Test Fee and Voucher will not be refunded, nor will Voucher be reissued.

On the day of exam date

  • Entrance to Test Center will begin 30 minutes before the start of the test.
  • Please arrive at Test Center 15 minutes before the start of the test. If you are late, you will not be able to take the test.
  • You must present a valid Identification Document on the exam date. If you cannot present it, you will not be able to take the test.
  • Even if you are unable to take the test due to being late or Any lack of or mistake in your identification document(s), Test Fee will not be refunded.
  • The following types of clothing are prohibited at Ateneo University in the Philippines.
    Dirty clothes, shorts and shirts for room use, shorts and shirts for sports such as gym and cycling, sleeveless clothes (for men), clothes with deep necklines, clothes with wide openings in the back, clothes without shoulder straps, clothes that show your navel, extreme clothes. short skirts or dresses, extremely low-rise jeans, and slippers.

Identification Document

Identification Document must meet all of the following conditions:

  • The "name on Identification Document" must be the same as the "name registered in Prometric ID."
  • Must be an original.
  • Copying is invalid.
  • It cannot be presented on a smartphone screen or other electronic media.
  • The photo of Identification Document must be clear and can be verified as the person who came to the test site on On the test day.

Test Scheduling

ID creation

If you do not have Prometric ID, please create one first.
Please carefully read the "Notes on Creating Prometric ID" and register your name correctly.
Your name cannot be changed after your reservation is completed. If the name on your Identification Document Prometric ID, you will not be able to take the test on the day of the test.

Login/Reservation/Change

Pass/fail announcement

  • Please check your result notification within 5 business days after taking the test by logging in to your My Page. For instructions on how to print your result notification, please see "How to print your Google Chrome result notification." Please note that this result notification is for the individual to confirm their results, and is different from the "Certificate of Passing" that successful applicants attach when applying for residence status. Please apply for the "Certificate of Passing" through the Manufacturing Sector Specified Skilled Worker Portal Site.

Retake Policy

  • Retaking the same exam category will not be permitted until 45 days have passed since the day after the exam.
