The ceremony was attended by more than 30 guests, including Indonesian government officials, the Embassy of Japan in Indonesia, the Japan Foundation Jakarta, and test organizers from Japan, who celebrated the launch with a spectacular ribbon-cutting ceremony.

In Indonesia, the demand for Specified Skilled Worker workers is growing due to the labor shortage in Japan, and the number of Indonesians aiming to go to Japan is increasing significantly. By opening its 12th Test Center at Mega Kuningan in central Jakarta, Prometric aims to meet the rapidly increasing demand for testing and promote human resource exchanges between Japan and Indonesia.

Prometric President and CEO James Hagenbuscher said, "We believe that this new Test Center will play an important role in improving the skills of Indonesians and promoting human resource exchanges with Japan. We will continue to strive to improve the testing environment, prioritizing fairness, transparency, and Candidate satisfaction."

During the ceremony, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Indonesia, Mr. Tanaka, who was a guest of honor, stated, "Japan is facing a serious labor shortage, and accepting foreign workers is inevitable. Indonesia, in particular, is an important source of labor for Japan, as its population continues to grow. Your company's decision to expand the testing center in Jakarta will contribute to further strengthening the relationship between our two countries, and we are extremely grateful."

In addition, guest of honor, Mr. Farid, Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, stated, "We are sincerely grateful for the opening of the Prometric Test Center in Jakarta. We hope that this Test Center will further promote the implementation of skill tests in Indonesia."

We will continue to strive to make further contributions to Japanese language education."
